Hi Minnie~
I just saw your facebook page and went to check out your website. I am absolutely amazed! I work with a Yorkie rescue program and have two babies I am getting ready to start in obedience classes with the hope to go through therapy dog training.
My "real job" is working with children. I have a long history of teachers in my family (though I am not one) and my mother who is a Kindergarten teacher has always stressed the importance of reading. With my 9 year old daughter, I am blessed to have my mother's guidance and knowledge and she has become an avid reader and tests well above her reading levels. However, I am all too aware that this is not the case for too many children!
I have known for some time that I wanted to work with therapy dogs and when I rescued these two babies I felt their personalities would be great. (We'll see how obedience school goes!!~ haha) I always thought of going to hospitals to visit children, etc but finding your site, I believe we have a new mission!! Reading therapy dog pulls together SOOOO many of my passions!
Thanks for taking the time to build your website and facebook pages so I could find them and be inspired!! Amazing what God places in your path!!
